Update (posted at 4:00 am on July 29): The MOS Convention Committee will be updating the website with new information as it becomes available.

Our host hotel will be the DoubleTree by Hilton, located at 300 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, Maryland, 21801.

On July 29, the DoubleTree by Hilton informed MOS that there are still discounted rooms available:

  • Thursday, Sept. 24: 9 rooms available
  • Friday, Sept. 25: 8 rooms available
  • Saturday, Sept. 26: 9 rooms available

The discounted room rate is only available through August 15. MOS strongly encourages you to reserve your room at the DoubleTree as soon as possible. There is a large concert (Oceans Calling) in nearby Ocean City, MD during Sept. 25-27. Salisbury hotels may see some bookings as Ocean City hotels fill up.

We will have field trips that begin on Friday morning. If you are planning to participate in Friday morning field trips, we recommend reserving a room at the DoubleTree on Thursday, Sept. 24.

To reserve your room:

Please call the DoubleTree front desk at 410-546-4400 to reserve your room. To receive the special MOS rate of $179/night, you must provide the Group Code: MOS. You should have the option of reserving a room with one King bed or two Double beds at the $179/night rate.

We hope you will stay at the convention venue. We have negotiated advantageous prices for rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton and staying there will place you as close as possible to the convention activities.

Do you need a roommate for the MOS convention?

Please fill out this form to enter your name and information so that we can match you up with a compatible roommate. Matching will be based on gender. Once a match has been made, you and your potential roommate will receive an email informing you of the match and provide each of you with the other’s name and email address. You can then reach out to each other to assess whether it is a good match or not. If there is no same gender available for a match, we will notify you at the email address you provide.

If you would like to find a different match or want to withdraw from being matched, email convention@mdbirds.org indicating that you would like a different match or you don’t need a match any more. Include your name and email address. We will confirm we received the change and find you a new match or take you off the list. If there is no match available, you will be notified there is no match.
