Saturday, Sept. 26 Social & Dinner

Join us for a fantastic evening of food, fun, posters and MOS awards!

After your Saturday field trips, join us at the DoubleTree by Hilton for an evening featuring a social and cash bar, poster presentations, final bidding on raffle and silent auction items, and a buffet dinner. You can mingle with your fellow birders before the evening program featuring MOS awards and the announcement of raffle and silent auction winners.

Location and Schedule

Location: the DoubleTree by Hilton, located at 300 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, Maryland, 21801
Wine & Cheese Social: 4:00 – 6:00 pm, a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres will be available
Buffet Dinner: 6:00 – 7:00 pm, cost is $47/person (visit the Registration page to purchase your dinner)
Evening Program: 7:00 – 8:00 pm, featuring MOS Awards and announcement of raffle & silent auction winners
Beer/wine costs: Beer $5 to $7, Wine $8 to $12 (all prices are subject to 9% alcohol tax and 20% gratuity)

4:00 – 6:00 pm: Wine & Cheese Social & Poster Presentations

Join your fellow birders in the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton to compare notes from your Saturday field trips. Talk with our poster presenters about their research and conservation programs. A cash bar and complimentary light hors d’oeuvres will be available. You can view the species tally boards and place your final bids on items in the raffle and silent auction.

6:00 – 7:00 pm: Buffet Dinner

The buffet dinner will be provided by Savour, the restaurant and event caterer at the DoubleTree. Cost is $47/person (includes the required gratuity). Visit the Registration page to purchase your dinner.

The evening buffet features:

  • Spinach Salad with Apple, Pecans, and Mustard Vinaigrette Dressing (GF/V/VE)
  • Pulled Pork with Honey BBQ (GF)
  • Maryland Fried Chicken
  • Cowboy Baked Beans with Jalapeños (GF/V/VE)
  • Tart and Tangy Coleslaw (GF/V/VE)
  • Baked Potato Bar (GF)
  • Cornbread with Honey Butter (V)
  • Fresh Fruit Cobbler (V)

7:00 – 8:00 pm: MOS Awards and Announcement of Raffle and Silent Auction Winners

After dinner, we will announce the recipients of the 2026 MOS Awards and the winners of the raffle and silent auction. At the conclusion of the evening program, we encourage you to continue socializing with your fellow birders in the DoubleTree bar or on their fabulous back deck overlooking the Wicomico River!
